No Way Out
written by Frank Sellman
He was raised up in Boston in a proud Italian home
his papa made an honest name for himself and he could’ve had the throne
life was so good, especially the girl
I think they met at 19 and true love was in his world
their favorite place Revere Beach especially late at night
oh the times they had in romantic moon light
then he started falling into trouble just trying to get ahead
when the ounces turned to pounds he started packing led

There’s not way out – nowhere to turn - oh my friend your gonna crash and burn

He was dealing for the devil selling evil was his job
he was just a little man – didn’t know it was the Russian mob
the feds had laid a sting for him and he’d fallen for their trap
then they told him to go wired or he’d do 20 years in a snap
what about the girl at home she wouldn’t last a day
he knew the men from Moscow would end her days in a ruthless way
so he had 20 years on the left lose your true love on the right
ain’t no easy answers sometimes at life’s stop light

There’s not way out – nowhere to turn - oh my friend your gonna crash and burn
There’s no way out – no where to go - your going down and bringing down her world

You just keep on running friend - but your running out of time
sometimes it ain’t your own life you lose - when you commit a crime

There are times to make a stand and time to make things right
he knew it was a setup and he wasn’t gonna win this fight
he did all he could do to tie up his loose ends
he was always a proud man and he was quiet at the end
they say that he escaped the only choice he had to be free
he was thinking of his true love and of their families
but he left her with a burden, Lord the deepest pain of all
when he took his life on Revere Beach who was there to catch her fall?
There’s not way out – nowhere to turn - oh my friend your gonna crash and burn
There’s no way out – no where to go - your going down and bringing down her world

Keep on runnin’ runnin’ runnin’
